REMINDERS
27-Mar-2008 Realm owners, please refrain from using the ban feature as a toy. It generates extra email for the IB Staff and causes us to start tracking a user's IP address to see if they violate the AuP in a realm. While you can ban for any reason please remember we do require said reason to be put in the box.

EXAMPLES OF GOOD REASONS:

You were banned for disrepecting staff.
For breaking rule #whatever of our room.
For not complying with staff requests.
Because you make the room uncomfortable and discourage play.

EXAMPLES OF BAD REASONS:

You know why.
Because you're stinky.
We don't like you.
Your picture sucks

You can ban them for all the bad reasons provided, you just have to word it in a professional way.

REMINDERS
26-Mar-2008 This is a reminder to all of you.

If you allow anyone else to use your login on infinity bound, it logs their IP address in the system under their login. If that user is a banned user and we do a cross reference on IP addresses, they will match your login. When this happens, we do a little more research and track both logins. When the users match more than once we ban any additional logins and link them together.

As an extra step we also ban the IP addresses linked to the accounts to prevent the users from gaining access to the site to create new logins.

So please, do not -ever- let anyone use your login to get into Infinity Bound. I would hate to deny you service because of it.

ERRORS & FIXES
24-Mar-2008 Everything has been restored from what I had in my files. I have put back all the wikis I had too. If you go to your wiki and get any kind of error message please contact us.

Realm Owners please STOP using the /members directory for your realm graphics/html/css. We -give- you realm space for free and FTP access to said space. I have moved all the realm graphics from the /members space to the /realms space and corrected the links in your realms. If you don't already have ftp access to your space then please contact us.

If you had an e-mail address with infinity bound and it is not a realm e-mail address, you will need to contact us to get your e-mail address again. Unfortunately to fix the e-mails I had to delete and re-create them. Since I couldn't tell who was using them and who wasn't, I didn't put them back.

If you had /members web space and you are still missing files, please contact us and we will get you FTP access to your space so you can restore your files quickly.

Due to the craziness we will not be adjusting realms from public status, or due to abandonment this month.

19-Mar-2008 PEOPLE WITH WEBSPACE:
Please reply to [Email] with your IB login and I will set up FTP access for you to restore your images to your /members space. I have restored all the directories and renamed them to lowercase letters.

THIS DIRECTORY IS NOT FOR REALM GRAPHICS! If you need space to host your realm graphics please let me know and I will set you up with a /realms space. I will put what I have back tonight and hopefully it's not too much lost.

REALM OWNERS:
I have restored your webspace and your wikis with what I have for them. Unfortunately for a great deal of you, it's just the wiki and none of the information. But everything is back in place and ready to go.

EMAIL FROM INFINITY BOUND:
The e-mail server is down. Which means no stats/realm emails/post extracts are being sent. They are there, they just aren't sent until we bring the server back up. It's down while Gatewood fixes whatever caused the server to stop sending mail to anyone using an [Email] e-mail and was not forwarding it to another e-mail.

With that being said, if you have sent an e-mail/request to the staff and have not received a response, please reply to [Email] and we’ll get it taken care of.

Due to the disruption in service, and loss of stuff for your realm, March is a free month regarding the public realm policy. This means that while we will keep the statistics for future reference, no realms will be moved to hybrid on 4/1/08, or removed due to abandonment.

ANNOUNCEMENT
17-Mar-2008 All of the /realms and /members directories were lost due to Roo's ignorance. I completely apologize. I am working to recover what I can of those two directories. It may take a few days to do so. However, due to a hard drive crash back at Christmas time I have -very- old backups of the /members & /realms directories. 995 of the wiki information is lost too.

I am so sorry guys.

ERRORS & FIXES
17-Mar-2008 Automatic Login is not available due to the errors and glitches it has been producing lately.

If you are having to login every time you post/refresh you need to adjust your security settings to allow session based cookies. This mostly happens with McAfee or Avast users.

As soon as the autologin feature has been corrected/fixed it will be returned to public use.

ERRORS & FIXES
01-Mar-2008 The error is due to you needing a new cookie. clean out your cookies and temp files. Then go into your settings and tell your browser to check for a new version of the page "EVERY VISIT TO THE PAGE".

This is also what causes the java error with the 'null' object. It's linked to the autologins and that is why we removed the autologin. It's not supposed to do that.
